“I know my keys are around here somewhere,” he said. “Will you help me look, Meg?” He’d been frantically looking for his keys for the last 10 minutes.

Megan rolled her eyes in response and pretended to look for the keys. She was too annoyed to actually help, though. Her dad had a bad habit of misplacing things—and not just simple things like keys or a wallet.
