What is Prepositional phrase?

Prepositional phrases are collections of words with prepositions in them. Prepositions are words that show the relationships between different parts of a sentence.

If you keep this in mind, you'll never have trouble recognizing prepositional phrases. A prepositional phrase is a collection of words that serves as a single unit of speech but lacks either a verb or a subject.

A preposition and a noun or a preposition and a pronoun are typically used in it. Prepositional expressions don't need to be simple.

Prepositional phrases can be spiced up by adding more words, such as adverbs or adjectives, in the same way that adding more ingredients to a sandwich dresses it up. A prepositional phrase is a sentence fragment made up of a single preposition and the subject it modifies.

Dear , Amy
Today I was walking out of a store like I always do but someone caught my eye, it was this elder lady struggling to carry her groceries. I felt bad for her so I politely asked her if she needed any help and she said yes! So I held her bags of groceries and walked them out to her car for her. The elder lady said her name was Tam. I felt amazing about myself afterwards! I hope Tam is doing good now! Anyways I just wanted to share the good deed I did today!!

Answer:

Dear Natalie (random name; you can replace it),

Today I ran into bad and good news. I'm not sure which one to tell you first. Bad news, I failed my exam. Leaving the best for last, the good news is that I helped someone. That's not all though.  I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, or if it's just fate, but as I was walking out of the school building, I noticed an elderly woman. Even though my emotions were jumbled up and I wasn't in a happy mood, I let it all pass and went over to the woman. She was carrying a lot of groceries, and it looked like she was having trouble. I tapped on her shoulder lightly and kindly asked if she needed assistance.

"Why yes, thank you. You are so very kind," the woman looked up at me and smiled.

"No worries. Now let me help you with that," I lifted the groceries with both hands.

I walked the woman home, and as we did, during the way I introduced myself.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Kaitlyn," I said.

"It was a pleasure to meet you as well. I'm Janice," she responded.

I noticed something slightly off with Janice, but I just walked on. After we arrived, she invited me to some afternoon tea, which I accepted kindly.

"So, I noticed that you weren't feeling happy when we met. Why is that?" Janice asked as she put down the tea.

"It's nothing big. I just failed a test in my worst subject," I forced a smile.

"Well, that's not a big deal. I may be able to help you," Janice patted my shoulder.

"What? How would you-"

"Let me formally introduce myself. I'm Janice Whitely, the vice president of the Volunteer Society. About your test, it's not that big. You can just try to make up for it by earning extra credit. I'm now recruiting new members for the Volunteer Society, and I think you'd be perfect," Janice grinned.

"Really? That would be such an honor! Thank you so much," I gratefully thanked Janice.

So, Natalie, do you think today was bad or good? I'll leave you to decide that when you reply to me.

From your best friend,

Rachel.

1st Subsection: ‘Friend or Foe?’

Why did the author include this section in the article?

Answers

Answer/Explanation:

According to the initial two paragraphs of the article, what can readers infer about our bathrooms?

According to the initial two paragraphs of the article I can infer that our bathrooms is full of germ and really bad for us. For instance in paragraphs one it says “ They’re all illness-inducing germs”. This make me think that germs can make us sick and it might cause different illness in many ways.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why did the author include this section in the article?
The Author include this section in the article because the author is telling us if germ are our friend or enemy. According to my background Knowledge Foe means enemy. Base on the sections in the article Germ can be our friend and be our enemy. In the paragraphs it says It can cause humans to become ill. The Author also states Once pathogenic bacteria enters your body, it can cause illness in a number of ways.This explains that Germ can Harm us which can make us sick. But Author also states that Most bacteria are harmless, and some are even beneficial to the humans body. For Instance, Bifidobacterium Longum live in human intestines and actually prohibit colonization by pathogenic, or harmful, bacteria. That tells us that germ can be our Friend or Enemy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

2nd Subsection: ‘What you can’t see might hurt you.’

What are the most logical inferences readers can draw from this section of the text?

The most logical inferences I can draw from the section of the text “What you can’t see might hurt you is germ is very small the only time we can see is under a microscopic.Just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it might not harm you. Based on what I read it tells us number of different Places. Before reading the section we might infer that the toilet are the most dirty but after reading the section I know that the toilet ain’t the most dirtiest the faucet/tap are the most dirtiest.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Objective Summary
Write an objective summary of the text.
You need to identify the most important ideas of the text. Be sure not to include your opinion.
Bathroom is secretly harboring a village of germ that we know noting about. Germ are the cause humans to become ill. Common germs will find living in the bathroom are bacteria & viruses. Bacteria enters body it can cause illness in a number of ways. Viruses are another type of germ that can make humans sick. Made of small piece of genetic material surrounded by a small protein capsule. It important to know that every nefarious virus or bacteria that you come into contact with won’t make you sick. Our body immune system is constantly working to fend off predator so only tiny  fraction of germs tat you encounter lead to any symptoms at all. What you can’t see might hurt you.
What is the difference between congruence and similarity? Compare these two examples as part of your answer. (Use the measurements shown in the diagrams to write a well-developed answer; I'm looking for a paragraph of 3-5 sentences.)
Answers
What is the difference between congruent and similarities
Congruent shapes have identical measurements and coincide with each other when superimposed. Two congruent objects are the same size and shape, but their orientation or placing in a space can be different.  This does not change the fact that they are the same because they possess the same physical properties, the same angles as well as the same measurements.
Similarity means closely resembling each other but not quite the same.  Mathematically a shape can be similar in its basic shape, a circle for example, but different in size.  The difference in size aspect means that a similar shape can never be congruent.
What is Congruent?
The word congruent comes from the Latin word ‘congruo’ which means ‘I agree’.  When two objects are congruent they can be matched or mapped exactly to each other.  They are the same size and have the same shape.  They fit into the ‘s.s.s theorem’ of side/side/side/ all three sides are the same and all three of the angles are the same. They can be superimposed on one another but can be set differently in terms of their orientation on a plane or in a 3D space.
In a 3D space they may have different special co-ordinates and be orientated differently round their XYZ axes.  However, they are still congruent because all their sides are equal.  All their angles are equal, and their shape is the same.   The art of mapping two congruent shapes is based on the translation, rotation and reflection of the shape and the shape should be able to move through different angles or turn over to be mapped exactly.
Congruent objects are exact in measurement and shape and size.  At first glance to the uninformed the two compared shapes may appear to be different because of the way they have been placed.  However, when they are mapped or rotated they are exact replicas of each other and therefore will be congruent.
What is Similarity?
The word similarity comes from the Latin ‘similis’ which means like, resembling or similar.  Similarity in the mathematical world requires two objects to have the same shape but not necessarily the same size.
Two different circles for instance are both circles and therefore similar but their size makes them different.  They can be compared as similar shapes, but not mapped to one another. Two objects that are similar will have the same shape but the one could be a scaled up or a scaled down version of the other.  The orientation of the shape could be different, but they will remain similar.  Mathematically objects are similar if they have the same shape but not necessarily the same size.
Similarities are found in instances where comparing two objects could be very closely compared, for instance Siamese twins would be very similar and definitely appear to be identical.  Similarities will be corresponding in their meaning like synonyms as they have a similar aspects and purpose. Synonyms are useful words that contribute to the diversity of our language and descriptions of people places and things.  Similarities can relate to nature and have a natural connection in their surroundings. Leaves on the same tree for example would be similar but could be different colors in autumn.  Objects that are akin to one another are similar in quantity and character. Groups of objects or classes of animals can be similar.  Cats for example are all cats, but their breed and color and habitat would make them similar in different ways, but not the same and never congruent.
When two line segments have the same length, they are congruent. When two figures have the same shape and size, they are congruent. These two triangles are congruent. ... Similar means that the figures have the same shape, but not the same size.
To the parents - Dear ——- as you know —— school is thinking about banning junk foods. Although there’s lots of pros there’s also lots of cons. I Believe that students should have the choice.
Parents are the on that have to pay for the meals. So why not give people what they want. If someone is paying you money for something you should give them the service or product that THEY want.
Getting to have the choice is also good for kids. It helps them be more responsible and make better choices. People should be given the choice.
This could also reflect badly on the school. There’s a possibility that students wouldn’t like the healthy options and they may not eat. It’s been tested by many scientists that missing meals slow down your brain function and people’s grades could drop. So is taking away the students choices to choose there own food really a good idea.
Letter to friend:
Hey Sam,
Can you believe that the parents are trying to ban junk food at school? It’s like they don’t trust us to make our decisions about what we eat. Everyone we know seems to eat pretty healthy anyway without the ban. I hope it doesn’t work out, or we’re going to have to just sneak snacks into the school. LOL!!!!! J
Charlotte
Letter to principal:
Dear Mr. Tarbell,
I understand the reason for banning all forms of junk food from the school cafeteria. Parents want to help their children make wise choices. But I don’t think banning junk food will allow us, their children, to make our own choices. Parents and teachers can discuss healthy choices with us, and we can make our own choices. I work to eat a healthy, balanced diet, but I know that I like to eat a candy bar or bag of chips every once in a while. Please consider keeping some forms of junk food so we can learn to choose for ourselves and enjoy something sweet when we want it.
Thank you,
Charlotte
Answers
Answer:
senator clarence hayward answered my letter and signed it personally.
Explanation:
Senator = it's at the beginning of a sentence and when referring to a specific senator by name it needs to be capitalized. if ur talking about senators on a general aspect ,ex: the senators are eating, you wouldn't capitalize it then.
Clarence Hayward = this is a proper noun, it's that person name and we always capitalize our names.
Senator, Clarence, and Hayward should all be capitalized
Firstly, while I enjoy outdoor activities and playing sports, my sibling prefers to spend their time indoors, engrossed in books and video games. Secondly, when it comes to academic achievements, I tend to struggle a bit, while my sibling effortlessly excels in all subjects. Lastly, our personalities are quite different. I am outgoing and love being around people, whereas my sibling is more introverted and enjoys their own company. These differences sometimes make me question myself and wish I could be more like my sibling. However, I've come to realize that we each have our own unique strengths and interests, and that's what makes us who we are. Comparing myself to my sibling only takes away from appreciating my own individuality.
When reading The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, the reader can make conclusions based on known facts or evidence. This process is called finding explicit information, making an inference, having a point of view, determining viewpoint.
An inference is a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning.
The reader can make conclusions based on known facts or evidence this process is known to be as the making an inference Option(c) is correct.
What does Inference means?
Inferences are moves toward thinking, moving from premises to sensible results; etymologically, the word deduce means to "convey forward". Inference is hypothetically generally partitioned into derivation and enlistment, a differentiation that in Europe dates basically to Aristotle.
Different fields concentrate on how inference is finished by and by. Human inference is customarily concentrated on inside the fields of rationale, argumentation studies, and mental brain science; man-made consciousness scientists foster computerized inference frameworks to imitate human inference.
Measurable inference involves math to reach determinations within the sight of vulnerability. This sums up deterministic thinking, with the shortfall of vulnerability as a unique case. Factual inference utilizes quantitative or subjective (unmitigated) information which might be dependent upon arbitrary varieties.
We were all ranked together at the valuation. Men and women, old and young, married and single, were ranked with horses, sheep, and swine. Sandcastles
On a hot summer afternoon, Hudson, Courtney, Emma, and Billy headed to Carolina beach to spend a relaxing day at the shore. The beach swarmed with people who were leisurely enjoying the beautiful view of the sea.
The four friends swam near the shore in the green-hued water. Then, they played a beach volley-ball for some time, but they were soon tired and decided to relax for a while.
Courtney, who was too bored to relax, decided to go for a stroll, and on her way, she spotted several kids building sandcastles. The sight of the perfectly crafted sandcastles filled her with excitement and zeal. She was overjoyed with the idea of ornamenting her own sandcastle with conch shells, and she could not wait to begin. She rushed to her friends and convinced them to join her in building a sandcastle.
Billy was not too keen on building a sandcastle because he did not want to do something so messy and get his hands dirty.
Besides, it is so hot. Why should we sit under the blazing sun and play with sand, he thought. However, he did not want to disappoint Courtney and the others. So, he dragged himself and helped Courtney gather sand in a bucket.
Hudson looked at Billy's face and understood how he felt.
"Give it a shot, Billy. It won't be so bad," Hudson told Billy and tried to comfort him. Hudson, on the other hand, was totally at ease. After all, building sandcastles with his sister was his favorite pastime, and he proudly demonstrated his sand carving skills to Billy.
Emma had never made sandcastles before, but she was eager to learn. She followed Courtney's instructions and sculpted arches and windows in the stacks of sand effortlessly.
When their sandcastle was ready, the four friends could not help but admire its beauty and perfection.
"This isn't so bad," Billy told Hudson with a smile.
Billy, Hudson, and Emma thanked Courtney for her suggestion and promised they would do this more often.
1"Okay, guys. It's a three-mile hike to the campsite! Let's embark on our family camping adventure!" Randy and Susan started climbing the rocky mountain terrain, noticing the brambles and undergrowth as they ascended the steep path. The sun beat down on them even though the leaves on the trees had already started to turn.
2"For about forty-five minutes, the siblings dodged branches, stepped over encroaching tree roots, and avoided mud puddles. Mom led the way along the trail, with Susan behind her and Randy at the back of the line.
3"As the family rounded a curve, Susan heard Randy suddenly stumble and gasp. She turned just in time to see her twin brother fall onto his right arm. He let out a painful yelp after hitting the ground.
4 "Mom! Mom!" Susan exclaimed, "Randy's injured!" Their mother hustled back down the trail to the teens.
5 "What happened?" Mom asked with a concerned look on her face.
6 "I guess I wasn't looking where I was going. I accidentally tripped over an enormous tree root and fell on my arm," Randy explained between gritted teeth.
7Mom knelt down to examine Randy's arm. The boy winced in pain as his mother carefully manipulated it.
8"Randy's arm may be fractured," Mom concluded. "I need to create a splint to hold it still until we can get him to a doctor."
9 "Susan, go find two branches about the length of your brother's arm. Look quickly, but remain on the path!" Susan began rummaging through the piles of sticks that lined the length of the trail. As she quickly searched the underbrush, Susan discarded branches that were too short, too thin, and too large. Finally, she discovered two sticks that were each about a foot long and an inch thick.
10 "Here, Mom, I found some branches. Hopefully, these will work," said Susan as she sprinted back down the trail toward her family.
11 "Randy, this will probably hurt, but we have to hold your arm still so I can splint it between the sticks." Randy continued to grimace in pain as his mother secured the branches on either side of his injured arm. She then tore a bandanna into four strips of cloth and tied it firmly around the branches to ensure that Randy couldn't move his arm.
12"For the next hour, Randy, Susan, and their mother cautiously navigated their way back down the trail. Susan carried Randy's backpack along with her own supplies, while their mother guided Randy between the overhanging branches along the narrow path.
13"As the family returned to their car in the parking lot, Randy commented, "This wasn't a typical camping trip, but I will certainly remember it for a long time."
