The banners proclaiming a Free the Real NYC lie in the gutters, trampled by terrified and panicked citizens. Two teens– or kidz, as they are called now– are on their way home from a secret meeting. As they walk in the shadows to avoid detection, they both trip on a huge titanium cylinder. Etched into the surface are a series of scratched-out words. The only words they can make out are, "he will prevail." They drag the heavy cylinder into a hidden alleyway and twist it open. The glow from their flashlights reveals the contents of the cylinder. With gasps of relief, they look at each other with hope in their eyes for the first time in years.

He wrote the "He will prevail" section speaking of the resistance. The "ψοφώ" was to tell the resistance to choose a new leader. They started planning their attack to make sure that the machine was destroyed.

The cylinder seem to be stuck a little on the ground so the kidz ran around like headless chickens, looking for something to set the world saving item free. The kidz heard stories from back in the day where kids where playing outside and enjoying their childhood. It made them furious knowing that they had to live in fear for their life everyday...so they had to get the cylinder unstuck. One kid had realized that he kept a hunting knife on him, so he pull it out and tarted to cut away the tar that was keeping the cylinder captive. To no prevail he couldn't get it free. When he looked up his friend was gone, like she vanished out of thin air, so he started to quietly call her name so he would make less commotion. She answered back in the same hushed tone, and the worry from his mind was immediately gone. The girl came back with all types of trash that had been thrown around, broken glass, sharp, plastic, and metal scrapes. The kidz worked their hardest to get the cylinder free, and they FINALLY GOT IT!! The were so ecstatic that they had gotten the symbol of hope free. Now to get it to a place where the symbol would be use full. The government had given up on the chaotic world..but they still worked because they still got payed, so the kidz thought and came up with the idea of handing it over to the government. Then maybe it will give them hope too to start running the world again. The kidz went home to their parents and gave them the cylinder. The shocked faces on them, then the tears that started to fall was a sign that everything was going to be okay.

Carlo stopped to rest for a minute and tried to catch his breath. He’d been running for so long that he had pains in his side and his legs were beginning to hurt. He hunched over and tried to expand his lungs, but it was like trying to suck air out of a bicycle tire. His body was too exhausted to even allow him to take a deep breath, and he started to wheeze again.

“Great,” he thought, “let me just add asthma to my expanding list of ailments. I can’t believe that I can’t even jog two miles without completely collapsing!” He finally gave in to his aching body and laid down on the grass to recuperate. Running didn’t come right away, Carlo remembered. He realized it was the same with his therapy. The maximum he had run in the past month was one mile on the treadmill, so he realized that Meiya was probably right. He would have to work at building up his endurance and set more realistic goals for himself. As he thought about what he had already accomplished, he started to smile and felt like a weight was being lifted off his shoulders. He realized that he had run almost a mile and a half before his body started to protest and if he kept working hard, he could get back to where he was before his accident.

“Since when did you get so smart, Dr. Meiya?” he teased. “Do you want to race to the next mailbox?”
