Jackson had the greatest number of electoral votes, so why didn’t he win? Please explain.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

If he has the greatest number of electoral votes, he should win, but if he didn't win, it is likely because he didn't meet the number of votes to officially be declared a winner.

Explanation:

This is usually the case when there are more than 2 candidates or people running for a particular job and that all of them received a number of electoral votes without surpassing the requirement to win, if this is the case then the election would go to the House of Representatives and the Senate would then choose who will be the running mate.

At times, change can be hard to accept, but when change adds value, one becomes motivated to take the necessary steps to do things differently. Think about a time when you had to change something about your personal, educational, professional, or spiritual life that added value, and explain how you dealt with the change.

Answer and Explanation:

About a year ago, I realized I was growing more and more anxious. There came a time when I didn't feel like leaving home at all, for fear of having to deal with rude or aggressive people. I had had a good number of bad experiences, and had become fearful of social interactions.

However, anxiety was only making things worse. It was as if i never let my guard down. I became more isolated, nervous, irritable. Instead of protecting me, anxiety was making me see others as enemies, as if the whole word was ready to attack me at any moment.

One day, I hit an emotional rock bottom, and it felt awful. I was becoming the wrong kind of introvert - a recluse who blames the world. I did not appreciate that situation, so I began to seek help. I realized I would have much more to gain by leaving my fears and resentment behind, and opening up to the world. Meditation, therapy and, most importantly, patience with myself were crucial to make me feel better. I began to see that I was dwelling on bad experiences and choosing to ignore the good ones. In other words, I was focusing on the dark side of people. Once I cleared my vision, tried to shed my prejudices and fears, I began to see there is more good in the world than I could imagine.

Which of the following is an example of how people benefited from the domestication of animals? (4 pts.)
Catching fish from a stream in handmade nets
Raising sheep in order to use their wool to make clothing
Chasing a herd of buffalo to the edge of a cliff
Using the hide of a deer to make a tent
OC

Answers

Answer:

Raising sheep in order to use their wool to make clothing

Explanation:

Domesticated animals are the ones who can breed in captivity, who survive in various climates, and who have the benefit to the humans. They have a different temperament than the wild animals – they are more tamed and mild, almost friendly, and have no natural need for the attack. By domestication, humans gained various resources for food, material, and survival in general.

Sheep are domestic animals, and they have great benefits for people because of the wool. People rise and breed sheep because wool is a great natural and warm material that is frequently used for making clothes.

The other examples presented here feature wild animals that are not domesticated and the action that is not habituation of these animals but more likely violent action.

Which of the following is NOT an option for a voter to directly use their voice?

1.Getting an initiative included on a ballot for voters to approve.

2.Voting to approve or reject a referendum proposed by a legislator.

3.Voters sign a petition to get a proposed law included on a ballot.

4.County official appointed by local judge.

Answers

Answer:

4. County official appointed by local judge

Explanation:

In some states, the citizens have a significant voice in the laws that are made. One thing they can do is to gather signatures on a petition to propose a law. Another way citizens in some cities and states can participate in law-making is through initiatives and referendums. These are laws that are proposed and then put before the voters to approve or reject. Electing an official to the state legislature is an indirect way for the voters to get their voices heard in the state government.

County official appointed by local judge is NOT an option for a voter to directly use their voice. Thus, its 4th option.

What is County official?

County officials are your neighbors since they use the same roads and pay the same taxes as you.

It's a good system that leaves your neighbors in charge of the choices that determine how much tax money you pay for your roads, court system, local law enforcement, and public records, such as those that establish property ownership and those that record the most significant life events for you and your family, such as births, marriages, and deaths.

Instead of having a single central authority, county governments in Texas provide services through a number of elected leaders.

The checks and balances system established by the Texas Constitution ensures that none of the county's elected officials are subject to the authority of another elected official; instead, they are solely responsible to the voters.

PLEASE HELP PLEASE PLEASE from Little Womenby Louisa May AlcottWhile their father is serving in the Civil War, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy help their mother, Marmee, carry on with their daily lives. The family makes do with what little money they have. Then a telegram arrives. Father is ill, and Marmee needs to go to Washington.1 How still the room was as they listened breathlessly and how suddenly the whole world seemed to change, as the girls gathered about their mother, feeling as if all the happiness and support of their lives was about to be taken from them.2 Mrs. March read the message over, and stretched out her arms to her daughters, saying, in a tone they never forgot, I shall go at once, but it may be too late. Oh, children, children, help me to bear it!3 For several minutes there was nothing but the sound of sobbing in the room, mingled with broken words of comfort, tender assurances of help, and hopeful whispers that died away in tears. Poor Hannah, their servant, was the first to recover, and with unconscious wisdom she set all the rest a good example . . . .4 I wont waste no time a-cryin, but git your things ready right away, mum, she said heartily, as she wiped her face on her apron . . . .5 Shes right, theres no time for tears now. Beth runs to ask their neighbor, Mr. Laurence, for help. To the relief of the girls, he also makes plans to have his grandsons tutor escort Marmee to Washington.14 Everything was arranged by the time Laurie returned with a note from Aunt March, enclosing the desired sum, and a few lines repeating . . . that she had always told them it was absurd for March to go into the army, always predicted that no good would come of it, and she hoped they would take her advice the next time. Mrs. March put the note in the fire, the money in her purse, and went on with her preparations . . . .15 Jo came walking in with a very queer expression of countenance, for there was a mixture of fun and fear, satisfaction and regret in it, which puzzled the family as much as did the roll of bills she laid before her mother, saying with a little choke in her voice, Thats my contribution toward making Father comfortable and bringing him home!16 My dear, where did you get it?
