Nature
Plants require regular nourishment for healthy growth, and gain most of the nourishment from their surroundings. But humans can play a part in aiding their growth too. Composting is a method of boosting plant growth and nourishment by adding a nutrient-rich mixture into the soil to enrich the soil with carbon and nitrogen.

Almost any food item can be used to create compost. As much as 30 percent of household waste can be converted into compost. Creating compost is an extremely easy process. All one needs to do is gather items such as table scraps, wood scraps, tealeaves, coffee beans, corncobs, eggshells, manure—an organic matter made from animal feces, and other similar items, and mix them well into the soil. Plenty of sunlight, the right equipment, and a good compost bin can create a decent batch of compost. It serves as an excellent alternative for chemical fertilizers.

Composting enriches the soil and prevents pollution. It also keeps the soil moist and prevents plants from contracting diseases. Composting is a relaxing and fulfilling activity that even teenagers can attempt. It will not only give them immense joy to watch their plants grow beautifully, but also educate them about recycling waste products.

Passage 2
The Task of Composting
Though organic compost is beneficial for nurturing plants, the task of composting itself isn't easy. Composting requires time and effort to compile the right mixture, and one has to be willing to work on making the compost every day. It is also important to have the right equipment and preserve the compost properly. There is always the risk of insects and rodents damaging the homemade compost.

Additionally, the effort put into making the compost does not always take root. Composting requires proper space and climatic conditions. Cold or dry weather is not ideal for compost, unless one constantly keeps the pile moist. Compost requires a lot of sunlight, which is not always available during winter. Lack of sunlight hampers the decomposition of materials in the compost.

Lastly, creating the right compost requires a trained hand and an expert's guidance. Using wrong kitchen ingredients such as bone scraps, whole eggs, fatty foods, or oil in the compost may damage the plant. One should especially be cautious about using manure made from cat or dog feces in the compost to grow vegetables as it can contain bacteria that can cause diseases in the plant. Nutrient imbalance in the compost could also affect the plants as too much of nitrogen or carbon could corrupt the soil.

5
What piece of information from passage 2 conflicts with the information from passage 1?
A.
Compost does not always benefits the plant.
B.
Kitchen wastes are utilized to make compost.
C.
Organic compost is more beneficial than chemical fertilizers.
D.

A: Where _______ you _______ English? B: We study _______ the school around the corner. 3. A: _______ your neighbor _______ a bank? B: No. She works _______ a bookstore. 4. A: Where _______ your parents _______ ? B: They live _______ 58 Gray Street.

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

1. A: Where is your sister's apartment? B: Her apartment is on Green Street.

Since "apartment" is a singular noun, we should use the third person singular of the verb be to refer to it - "is". The address is incomplete. When we only have the street name, we use the preposition"on".

2. A: Where do you study English? B: We study at the school around the corner.

We know we are supposed to use "study" because it is used in the answer. We need the auxiliary "do" for the question referring to the second person singular/plural. We use the preposition "at" to refer to a school when we perform the action of studying or attending classes.

3. A: Does your neighbor work at a bank? B: No. She works at a bookstore.

We know we are supposed to use "work" because it is used in the answer. We need the auxiliary "does" for the question referring to the third person singular. We use the preposition "at" to mention the place where someone works.

4. A: Where do your parents live ? B: They live at 58 Gray Street.

We know we are supposed to use "live" because it is used in the answer. We need the auxiliary "do" for the question referring to the second person singular/plural. We use the preposition "at" with complete addresses.

Read the excerpt from the Supreme Court’s decision in Hirabayashi v.United States. Hirabayashi challenged the mass evacuation of Japanese Americans on the West Coast, stating that the evacuation was based solely on suspicion. Which sentence best summarizes the court’s opinion?

It is true that we might now say that there was ample time to handle the problem on the individual rather than the group basis. But military decisions must be made without the benefit of hindsight. The orders must be judged as of the date when the decision to issue them was made. To say that the military in such cases should take the time to weed out the loyal from the others would be to assume that the nation could afford to have them take the time to do it. But as the opinion of the Court makes clear, speed and dispatch may be of the essence. Certainly we cannot say that those charged with the defense of the nation should have procrastinated until investigations and hearings were completed. At that time further delay might indeed have seemed to be wholly incompatible with military responsibilities.

Since we cannot override the military judgment which lay behind these orders, it seems to me necessary to concede that the army had the power to deal temporarily with these people on a group basis. Petitioner therefore was not justified in disobeying the orders.

A.
Legal procedure and civil rights can be scrapped when the nation faces a war threat.
B.
Mass Japanese relocation was justified because there was no time to separate the guilty from the innocent.
C.
Japanese Americans who challenged the exclusion orders failed to understand the military’s dilemma.
D.

Who is responsible for Juliet’s death? Write an essay about your thesis.

Answers

Answer:

Many people were a part of both Romeo and Juliet's death. Although this is true, there is own person in particular who had the most to do with Juliet's death. That person is no other than her own Father.

Lets look at why she had killed herself. In simple words, Juliet had killed herself to be with her true love, Romeo. Romeo had killed himself because he thought Juliet was dead. He thought this because she had faked her death to avoid marrying Paris. She had drank a potion that had basically put her in a deep sleep which made her look dead. When he saw her "dead" he poisoned himself and laid in her tomb. When she woke, she saw Romeo and decided to be with him forever. She tried to kiss him to see if there was any poison on his lips left to kill her. It failed so she took a "happy dagger", (it was 'happy' because it reunited her with her true love), and stabbed herself.

No what does this have to do with her dad? If she had not had to take the potion to avoid marrying Paris, romeo wouldn't have killed himself, therefore Juliet wouldn't have killed herself. Juliet did not want to marry Paris and was being forced by her father. If her father hadn't forced her to do this, she wouldn't have taken the potion that caused Romeo to kill himself, causing Juliet to kill herself as well.

How could this be avoided? Her parents could have understood the way Juliet felt for Romeo. They could have let her live her life instead of planning her life out for her. If they would have not hated Romeo's family and would have dropped the feud instead of being selfish, Romeo and Juliet would not had to have taken their own lives.

In conclusion, many events led to the death of Juliet, and though many people were a part of it, her own father has the most blood on his hands.

The highest number of boys enrolled was in 2071 BS, with about 75 boys, and the highest number of girls enrolled was in 2074 BS, with about 70 girls. The least number of boys was in 2074 BS, and for girls, it was 2071 BS.
