PLS HELP Give a brief explanation of Articles 1-7 in the Constitution. 15 POINTS!!

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

Article I – The Legislative Branch. The principal mission of the legislative body is to make laws. It is split into two different chambers – the House of Representatives and the Senate. Congress is a legislative body that holds the power to draft and pass legislation, borrow money for the nation, declare war and raise a military. It also has the power to check and balance the other two federal branches.

Article II – The Executive Branch. This branch of the government manages the day-to-day operations of government through various federal departments and agencies, such as the Department of Treasury. At the head of this branch is the nationally elected President of the United States.

The president swears an oath to ‘faithfully execute’ the responsibilities as president and to ‘preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States’. Its powers include making treaties with other nations, appointing federal judges, department heads and Ambassadors, and determining how to best run the country and run military operations.

Article III – The Judicial Branch. Article III outlines the powers of the federal court system. Determines that the court of last resort is the US Supreme Court and that the US Congress has the power to determine the size and scope of those courts below it. All judges are appointed for life unless they resign due to bad behaviour. Those facing charges are to be tried and judged by a jury of their peers.

Article IV – The States. This article defines the relationship between the states and the federal government. The federal government guarantees a republican form of government in each state, protects the nation and the people from foreign or domestic violence, and determines how new states can join the Union. It also suggests that all the states are equal to each other and should respect each other’s laws and the judicial decisions made by other state court systems.

Article V – Amendment. Future generations can amend the Constitution if the society so requires it. Both the states and Congress have the power to initiate the amendment process.

Article VI – Debts, Supremacy, Oaths. Article VI determines that the US Constitution, and all laws made from it are the ‘supreme Law of the Land’, and all officials, whether members of the state legislatures, Congress, judiciary or the Executive have to swear an oath to the Constitution.

Article VII – Ratification. This article details all those people who signed the Constitution, representing the original 13 states.

Read this excerpt from "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty."

Walter Mitty stopped the car in front of the building where his wife went to have her hair done. "Remember to get those overshoes while I’m having my hair done," she said. "I don’t need overshoes," said Mitty. She put her mirror back into her bag. "We’ve been all through that," she said, getting out of the car. "You’re not a young man any longer." He raced the engine a little. "Why don’t you wear your gloves? Have you lost your gloves?" Walter Mitty reached in a pocket and brought out the gloves. He put them on, but after she had turned and gone into the building and he had driven on to a red light, he took them off again.

How does the contrast between Mitty's view of himself and the reader's view of Mitty affect the story in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty"?

It creates sympathy for Mitty since readers recognize that his fantasies show how he'd like to be, not how he actually is.

It builds suspense in the story, as each of Mitty's fantasies places him in more and more danger in reality.

It adds humor to the story, since Mitty acts out all of his fantasies among people who have no idea what he's doing.

It injects tension in the story, as readers wait to see whether Mitty's wife will realize that her husband is unhappy.

How well do you believe American voters are informed of health care issues?

Some people are informed however there are people who believe that health care isn't a basic human right. Why is that many other countries like Canada, France, and Denmark are giving their citizens free health care and they're in less debt then us? Our constitution states that all men are created equal but that isn't evident today. Why is that? Why is it that people who are wealthy have access to good health care but the working class doesn't?

Example cited in the excerpt? The Grimms found stories that express real-life situations. The Grimms embellished stories with more details in their final editions. The Grimms wanted to stick to oral reports of folk tales. The Grimms changed stories to be less dark in the final edition.

Answers

This question is incomplete. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:

Read the excerpt from "How the Grimm Brothers Saved the Fairy Tale." In contrast to the final 1857 edition, most of the tales in the first edition are shorter and sparser. They have a rawness that was later to be refined. For example, "Rapunzel” is embellished a great deal in the final edition:

First Edition

Once upon a time there lived a husband and wife who had been wishing for a child for many years, but it had all been in vain. Finally, the woman became pregnant.

Now, in the back of their house the couple had a small window that overlooked a fairy’s garden filled with all kinds of flowers and herbs. But nobody ever dared to enter it.

Seventh Edition

Once upon a time there was a husband and wife who for quite some time had been wishing in vain for a child. Finally, the dear Lord gave the wife a sign of hope that their wish would be fulfilled. Now, in the back of their house the couple had a small window that overlooked a splendid garden filled with the most beautiful flowers and herbs. The garden, however, was surrounded by a high wall, and nobody dared enter it because it belonged to a sorceress, who was very powerful and feared by all.

Which idea does the author develop with the text example cited in the excerpt?

A. The Grimms found stories that express real-life situations.

B. The Grimms embellished stories with more details in their final editions.

C. The Grimms wanted to stick to oral reports of folk tales.

D. The Grimms changed stories to be less dark in the final edition

Answer:

The idea the author develops with the text example cited in the excerpt is:

B. The Grimms embellished stories with more details in their final editions.

Explanation:

The author of the excerpt we are analyzing here states that the Grimm brothers embellished their stories as they revised them in further editions. That is what he uses the example for: to serve as evidence for that claim. The example allows readers to compared a passage of the first and the seventh editions of "Rapunzel", by the Grimms. It can be easily seen that the seventh edition version is written in a different, less raw or direct style.

Answer:

B, The Grimms embellished stories with more details in their final editions.

Answer:

I believe you mean "human trafficking" which is a terrible thing. Human trafficking is a worldwide network of people who kidnap young girl for their own "pleasures". It is a horrible thing that sadly happens all the time. One way you can prevent it is by being careful as a female when you are alone. Try to avoid parking garages unless there's lots of people around. Parking garages are a way for them to distract you so they can snatch you.
