When reading The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, the reader can make conclusions based on known facts or evidence. This process is called finding explicit information, making an inference, having a point of view, determining viewpoint.

Answers

Answer:

Making and inference

Explanation:

An inference is a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning.

The reader can make conclusions based on known facts or evidence this process is known to be as the making an inference Option(c) is correct.

What does Inference means?

Inferences are moves toward thinking, moving from premises to sensible results; etymologically, the word deduce means to "convey forward". Inference is hypothetically generally partitioned into derivation and enlistment, a differentiation that in Europe dates basically to Aristotle.

Different fields concentrate on how inference is finished by and by. Human inference is customarily concentrated on inside the fields of rationale, argumentation studies, and mental brain science; man-made consciousness scientists foster computerized inference frameworks to imitate human inference.

Measurable inference involves math to reach determinations within the sight of vulnerability. This sums up deterministic thinking, with the shortfall of vulnerability as a unique case. Factual inference utilizes quantitative or subjective (unmitigated) information which might be dependent upon arbitrary varieties.

Therefore Option(c) is correct.

There were horses and men, cattle and women, pigs and children, all holding the same rank in the scale of being, and were all subjected to the same narrow examination. Silvery-headed age and sprightly youth, maids and matrons, had to undergo the same indelicate inspection.

Text:

Sandcastles

On a hot summer afternoon, Hudson, Courtney, Emma, and Billy headed to Carolina beach to spend a relaxing day at the shore. The beach swarmed with people who were leisurely enjoying the beautiful view of the sea.
The four friends swam near the shore in the green-hued water. Then, they played a beach volley-ball for some time, but they were soon tired and decided to relax for a while.
Courtney, who was too bored to relax, decided to go for a stroll, and on her way, she spotted several kids building sandcastles. The sight of the perfectly crafted sandcastles filled her with excitement and zeal. She was overjoyed with the idea of ornamenting her own sandcastle with conch shells, and she could not wait to begin. She rushed to her friends and convinced them to join her in building a sandcastle.
Billy was not too keen on building a sandcastle because he did not want to do something so messy and get his hands dirty.
Besides, it is so hot. Why should we sit under the blazing sun and play with sand, he thought. However, he did not want to disappoint Courtney and the others. So, he dragged himself and helped Courtney gather sand in a bucket.
Hudson looked at Billy's face and understood how he felt.
"Give it a shot, Billy. It won't be so bad," Hudson told Billy and tried to comfort him. Hudson, on the other hand, was totally at ease. After all, building sandcastles with his sister was his favorite pastime, and he proudly demonstrated his sand carving skills to Billy.
Emma had never made sandcastles before, but she was eager to learn. She followed Courtney's instructions and sculpted arches and windows in the stacks of sand effortlessly.
When their sandcastle was ready, the four friends could not help but admire its beauty and perfection.
"This isn't so bad," Billy told Hudson with a smile.
Billy, Hudson, and Emma thanked Courtney for her suggestion and promised they would do this more often.

PLZ HELP ILL GIVE BRAINLIEST AND 50-100 PIONTS:)
Standing near the window, Joshua viewed the moving vans pull up next door. He couldn’t wait to meet his neighbors. Joshua saw a boy his own age hop out of the truck. Walking outside, Joshua waved to his new neighbors.

Joshua boldly walked up to the young man and shot a hand out in front of him. The young man looked like he did not know what to do with Joshua’s outstretched hand. Joshua scooped up the young man’s hand and shook it vigorously. While looking down at his shoes, the young man quietly introduced himself as Dong Soo.

Over the next few weeks, Joshua and Dong Soo became great friends and did almost everything together. Because the young men were so drastically different, their friendship surprised some people. Joshua was sociable; he loved cracking jokes and playing tricks. Dong Soo, however, was quiet and calm. He thought for a long time before speaking.

Sometimes Joshua and Dong Soo had difficulty understanding each other. Some days at school Dong Soo ate a lunch that, to Joshua, didn’t look edible—or maybe it looked just barely safe to eat. Joshua was sure he would never eat it. Dong Soo explained that, because he was Korean, he ate foods that other kids at school might not. Sometimes Joshua played pranks on his older brother. Dong Soo was horrified at what he saw as his friend’s thoughtless and imprudent actions.

Joshua thought it was important to know what would offend Dong Soo and his family. Therefore, understanding his friend’s culture was vital. Joshua asked Dong Soo to tell him about the Korean culture. Dong Soo suggested that they start with food. He explained that food was very important in Korean culture. For instance, Koreans would never sit down in front of a television while eating a meal. To Koreans, meals are more than mere nourishment—they are a way to show manners.

Joshua was enthralled by these ideas; he eagerly asked his friend to teach him more. Dong Soo promised to teach Joshua much more about his culture and how it influences his life. Dong Soo set the table with many bowls and pairs of intricately designed chopsticks. Dong Soo taught Joshua how to hold the chopsticks and how to properly eat rice. Joshua’s mind swam trying to remember the rules, so he asked Dong Soo how he remembered.

Dong Soo explained to Joshua that his traditional Korean background influenced his life in many ways. He told Joshua that table manners were just one of the many things he was taught. Dong Soo was used to the ways of his culture that he did not have to think about them. Dong Soo told his friend that it was easy to feel isolated and alone when you are different from some people; however, he was happy that Joshua made him feel so accepted.

“How did you like your first taste of Korea?” Dong Soo asked with smile.

Why does Dong Soo act the way he does?
A) He wants to fit in at his new school.
B) He does not want to be like other kids.
C) He wants to act just like his friend Joshua.
D) He was raised in a traditional Korean family.
2)
What is one difference between Joshua and Dong Soo?
A) They are different ages.
B) One is outgoing, one is quiet and calm.
C) Joshua is American, Dong Soo is Japanese.
D) Joshua repects his brother, Dong Soo does not.
3)
Why did Joshua look out of his window?
A) He was afraid of his new neighbors.
B) He watched the moving vans next door.
C) He wanted to see his friend, Dong Soo.
D) He wondered if he should visit his friend.
4)
Because Dong Soo taught his friend Joshua about Korean culture, a reader can infer that
A) Joshua would not need to teach Dong Soo about Joshua's culture.
B) Joshua would be willing to teach others about Dong Soo's culture.
C) Joshua would be willing to teach Dong Soo about Joshua's culture.
D) Joshua would be unwilling to teach Dong Soo about Joshua's culture.
5)
Dong Soo is happy to teach Joshua about his culture because
A) he believes that Joshua is not understanding of others.
B) he thinks that Joshua will enjoy eating various Korean foods.
C) he is proud of his culture and wants Joshua to understand it.
D) he wants his friends to try to practice Korean customs with him.

Summary of Trash Vortex:

Plastic started to flood into people's lives. It replaced lots of other materials too. Also, it would be transformed into new objects. Children would play with plastic putty. This shows us that plastic is really popular, but the cost of being popular can harm our environment. People use plastic materials in their modern life. Plastic offered other conveniences such as disposable items like plates, cups, napkins. Although they're all meant to be thrown away after use.

Plastic trash began to accumulate in waterways. This caused waterways to be polluted and non-safe drinking water with diseases. For example, Ohio's river was so polluted with chemicals it caught on fire. causing to catch the attention of government leaders. The federal clean water act added rules in 1972 on industrial plants along waterways. That said waterways continued to trash accumulating a bit in reason of wind sweeping plastic and other non-disposable items.

I'm not sure if this is correct if Trash Vortex is about plastic and pollution, but I'm glad I helped. :)

Secondly, when it comes to academic achievements, I tend to struggle a bit, while my sibling effortlessly excels in all subjects. Lastly, our personalities are quite different. I am outgoing and love being around people, whereas my sibling is more introverted and enjoys their own company. These differences sometimes make me question myself and wish I could be more like my sibling. However, I've come to realize that we each have our own unique strengths and interests, and that's what makes us who we are. Dear , Amy
Today I was walking out of a store like I always do but someone caught my eye, it was this elder lady struggling to carry her groceries. I felt bad for her so I politely asked her if she needed any help and she said yes! So I held her bags of groceries and walked them out to her car for her. The elder lady said her name was Tam. I felt amazing about myself afterwards! I hope Tam is doing good now! Anyways I just wanted to share the good deed I did today!!

Answer:

Dear Natalie (random name; you can replace it),

Today I ran into bad and good news. I'm not sure which one to tell you first. Bad news, I failed my exam. Leaving the best for last, the good news is that I helped someone. That's not all though.  I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, or if it's just fate, but as I was walking out of the school building, I noticed an elderly woman. Even though my emotions were jumbled up and I wasn't in a happy mood, I let it all pass and went over to the woman. She was carrying a lot of groceries, and it looked like she was having trouble. I tapped on her shoulder lightly and kindly asked if she needed assistance.

"Why yes, thank you. You are so very kind," the woman looked up at me and smiled.

"No worries. Now let me help you with that," I lifted the groceries with both hands.

I walked the woman home, and as we did, during the way I introduced myself.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Kaitlyn," I said.

"It was a pleasure to meet you as well. I'm Janice," she responded.

I noticed something slightly off with Janice, but I just walked on. After we arrived, she invited me to some afternoon tea, which I accepted kindly.

"So, I noticed that you weren't feeling happy when we met. Why is that?" Janice asked as she put down the tea.

"It's nothing big. I just failed a test in my worst subject," I forced a smile.

"Well, that's not a big deal. I may be able to help you," Janice patted my shoulder.

"What? How would you-"

"Let me formally introduce myself. I'm Janice Whitely, the vice president of the Volunteer Society. About your test, it's not that big. You can just try to make up for it by earning extra credit. I'm now recruiting new members for the Volunteer Society, and I think you'd be perfect," Janice grinned.

"Really? That would be such an honor! Thank you so much," I gratefully thanked Janice.

So, Natalie, do you think today was bad or good? I'll leave you to decide that when you reply to me.

From your best friend,

Rachel.
