Jacqueline is writing an essay on the importance of vaccinations for children. She will be reading her essay to her peers who know little about vaccinations, but most of them were vaccinated as children. Then, she will be reading her essay at a health conference where there will be many new parents who are divided on the issue. Based on her purpose and audience, determine which excerpts from her speech would be best used with which type of audience.

I have been able to drag each tile to the correct location on the table.
When Jacquelin is reading her essay to her peers, you will discover that she will point out the issue of how some young people hate going to the doctor's office. Most children hate being injected. Also, the second sentence under Peers shows that this part of the speech will be presented to her peers because she talks of the danger of not staying up to date with your vaccinations which may put others at risk.
In the Parents column, Jacquelin is giving the parents background information about measles and the process vaccines pass through. Also, she informs them about the need of vaccinating their children.

Explain the development of the theme of Gary Turk’s spoken-word poem “Look Up.”
Answer: Gary Turk's spoken-word poem's theme develops from technology being a distraction from time spent with others to technology taking away opportunities in life that we could have had if we paid more attention to our surroundings. On line 2 it says "I speak to all of them every day yet none of them really know me" this explains how a person may feel if they and their friends spend all their time online communicating rather than having conversations in real life. While communicating to someone via text there are nonverbal cues that are lost. Then, on lines 73-74 the poem says "But none of these times ever happened. You never had any of this when you’re too busy looking down, you don’t see the chances you miss" which explains that looking down at your phone causes you to lose sight in everything else that is around you. You could miss opportunities that could have changed your life just because you were too preoccupied staring at a screen.
Note: sorry if this doesnt make sense, I tried to answer it to the best of my abilitiy lol. I had to answer the same question and this is just what I said.
And it fell to the youngest of them all, And he set off at once towards the town. And thereupon, so soon as he was gone, One of the two who stayed said to the other: "You know, of course, that you are my sworn brother. I’ll tell you something that you won’t lose by. As you can see, our friend has gone away, And here is gold, and that in greatest plenty, All waiting to be split between us three. How would it be, if I can work it so That it is only shared between us two, Wouldn’t I be doing you a friendly turn?" How does Chaucer characterize the young man speaking in this passage?
This question is missing the options. I have found the complete question online. Since the passage is the same, I will omit it:
How does Chaucer characterize the young man speaking in this passage?
A. as uncomfortable
B. as loyal
C. as deceitful
D. as innocent
Answer:
Chaucer characterizes the young man:
C. as deceitful
Explanation:
When we call someone deceitful, we mean that person is false, untruthful, untrustworthy. Notice that Chaucer shows the young man is deceitful through the character's own words. He knows he is supposed to split the gold between the three of them. However, once the youngest is gone to town, he proposes to the other man that they split it only between the two of them. He clearly cannot be trusted. Therefore, letter C is the best option for this question.
Answer:
as deceitful

According to the author, why did chronological age become important?
answer:
because it creates an order
explanation:
some researchers suggest the use of chronological age as a marker for the timing of adulthood, whereas others suggest the transition to adulthood is better characterized by events or rites of passage such as graduation from school, starting a job, or having a family (neugarten and hagestead 1976).
now, unfortunately, i don't know what author you are talking about, but i hope this helps.

article to be published on examination malpractice
Answer:
Examination malpractices have become me the bane of our society. It is a common practice which entails all forms of shady deals and dishonesty during examination periods serious problem in our various institutions of learning. is one serious problem that is plaguing our educational system today. Every day, students device various subtle tricks to cheat in examinations. Parents and teachers have been known to aid and abet students to cheat during examinations.
Obviously, examination malpractice has evil effects in our society. It has a double-edged effects on the individual engaging in it and the Nigerian society at large. The first evil effect of examination malpractice on the individual is that it kills the conscience of the person involved in it. This dishonest practice will eventually spread to all extent areas of his life. Students and other people who aid and abet examination malpractice will be so engaged in it to the extent that they will become dishonest in all their dealings and activities. Such people will not be able assess themselves correctly and objectively as to what they are capable of doing. They will be dishonest in whatever they do because they don't believe in their competence.
Examination malpractice also sends ugly and bad signals to other students who do not engage in it. it is injustice and unfairness to them as it will make them look worse than they really are. When the result of the examination comes out, they will think that those students who cheat during the examination are better than them. Furthermore, examination malpractice has a demoralizing effect on the students when they see their lazy and opportunistic colleagues coming out in flying colours at the expense of those who have really studied hard and have not cheated. If those engage in examination malpractices are not brought to book, the less morally principled students may be tempted to join in the cheating game.
The effect of examination malpractice on the entire Nigerian society is devastating. This monster has led to loss of confidence in the certificates that derive from examinations. Examinations are no longer the true tests of ability as we now see people carrying about certificates that they could not defend. This has led to loss of confidence in our institutions of learning. Within and outside the country, certificates issued by our institutions of learning are looked down upon as substandard.
In conclusion, examination malpractice needs to be tackled before it destroys our educational system. It is having a devastating effects on our society as a whole. It has made our students and pupils in both primary and secondary schools to be lazy and unwilling to study. This cankerwoom has eaten deep such that parents, who happen to be part-time students, have also imbibed the culture of cheating in examinations. This ugly trend has to be stopped as a matter of urgency so as to bring sanity into our educational system.

I was in shock when I heard from my social studies teacher that there are similarities between North and South Korea. All my life, I thought that the number of differences between the two countries would make it impossible for them to be alike in any other way. I even researched the countries and couldn't believe the number of similarities I found about them. I even found out that both countries used to be one country before the year 1948. it turns out that the government and economy of the north and south Korea are indeed different, but there are some similarities between the countries, such as culture when you think about it.
Sometimes governments can separate countries from each other and bring countries to each other; an example of bringing the two countries together is that both south and north Korea gained independence on August 15, 1945, from japan. Simultaneously, examples of separating the two countries from each other are that North Korea's government is rigorous and almost controls everything, including investment, trade, visitors, internet, religion, traffic, and food/clothing. On the other hand, South Korea's government is not strict, and their economy is multiplying. When it comes to a country's government, nothing can change one country's relationship with another country, especially when the government breaks them apart.
Occasionally, there are some differences in the economy between north and south Korea, but that never means that there will not be some similarities. For instance, north and south Korea are active in investing from other countries, and both countries have an electronics industry. Some diversity between the two countries is that the government entirely plans north Korea also only china and Russia are allowed to invest in North Korea on a tiny scale; another thing that differs them is that North Korea has industries that consist: electronics, telecommunications, chemicals, shipbuilding, and steel. While in the meantime, South Korea has sectors that consist: military products, machine building, electric power, textiles, tourism, and automobile production. South Korea also has a robust economy and is very famous for exports of cars, ships, computers, and other electronics. in conclusion, how many differences between the two countries' economies can never stop the similarities between them appear.
When it comes to culture, North and South Korea have similarities but also have differences. For instance, both north and south Korea celebrate the same holidays/festivals; they have taekwondo as a popular traditional sport and the handbok, the Korean national costume. Yet in North Korea, citizens are taught to worship Kim sung while in South Korea; Confucius strongly influences citizens; Confucius is known as the first teacher in China who wanted to make education broadly available and instrumental in establishing the art of teaching vocation. He also set ethical, moral, and social standards that formed a way of life known as Confucianism. Even though there are some similarities, there can always be differences that come from a culture.
There is no doubting that there arent any differences and similarities between north and south Korea's government, economy, and culture. Government shows you what and how something goes through in a country; the government also offers you many differences and a few similarities between the two countries. While the economy shows you what industries there are and what rank their country is in, it also shares some differences and similarities. On the other hand, culture explains what beliefs a country has and its traditions; culture also compares many things and contrasts a few things.

I am working with a parent who insists that I always ignore his child’s aggressive behavior. How can I convince this father that ignoring aggressive behavior isn’t successful? I must follow the center’s policy on such behavior to keep all children safe.
Answer:
Explain how ignoring in any form wouldn't be advantageous at all.
Explanation:
Ignoring any person's/child's feelings, no matter how negative or aggressive, can lead to dangerous outcomes, and they would probably feel ignored, leading to self-isolation. Another outcome could be that they would begin to ignore you, and debates would become arguments, and arguments become rejection. If the parent persists, ask them what good would come out of ignoring, then ask them if it's worth it.

The class became energized, and Tomas was able to keep his audience's attention. Why?

The class became energized, and Tomas was able to keep his audience's attention. Why?
A. The body of his speech was well organized.
B. He drew attention away from the topic of his speech.
C. He paid attention to the audience's demographics.
D. He used the physical situation to his advantage.
E. He refuse to be influenced negatively by the physical setting.
Answer:
The class became energized and paid attention because:
D. He used the physical situation to his advantage.
E. He refuse to be influenced negatively by the physical setting.
Explanation:
Tomas himself could have gotten cranky due to the heat, but he refused to let that affect him negatively. Instead, he came up with an interesting way to make the heat acceptable to his audience. By asking them to imagine they are on a beach, Tomas was able to get them to feel good. Their brains are no longer focusing on how irritating it is to be at a place where the heating system does not work properly. Quite the contrary, the heat is actually helpful when it comes to imagining a hot, tropical, paradisiac place. Tomas was able to take advantage of the situation.
