The Homo Erectus fossil was found in Java in 1891. They were refers to as the Pithecanthropus Erectus. These were considered as the missing link between the man and apes. Homo Erectus was also discovered in China .Homo erectus tools is made of bones and wood this shows that they were haunters and made use of fire. Homo Erectus is believed to live in caves.
5. Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis
The Homo Erectus evolved into Homo Sapiens and during this evolution, two sub-species of Homo Sapiens were discovered Homo sapien Neanderthal and Homo sapiens sapiens. Some small hand tools like axes had also been discovered. This species of hominids are known for hunting big animals like mammoths.
6. Homo Sapiens Sapiens
The fossil of Homo Sapiens were first discovered in Europe and were were the earliest humanlike creatures , the have small jaw and chin having the modern man appearance. They gathered food through hunting with Sophisticated weapons, such as spears and bows and arrow to hunt large mammals and began to make other advances like controlling fire and construct semi-permanent settlements.
