Should the United States engaged in imperialism ?

Answers

Answer:

No, that would go against the freedoms and liberty of other nations.

Explanation:

Answer:

Explanation:

The US has significant effects on other countries in terms of pop culture, technology, business practices, and more. However, the gravity of how much influence America has on other governments is evident in American Imperialism, which is the military, economic, and cultural influence of the US on other lands, usually going hand-in-hand with expansion on a grand scale into other territories.

The burning question is, “Does the constitution follow the flag?” and the answer is a resounding no. When they were conquered, the American territories did not enjoy the same rights that Americans in the mainland did. The US government operated on the idea that the peoples of these newly acquired lands were inferior to Americans, and thus not capable of holding the responsibilities of a mainland American citizen.

There are many pros and cons to American imperialism. One positive for the US is that it expands territories. The more territories you have, the greater power you have. It gives access to many resources, and presently the US dominates over Guam, Puerto Rico, Samoa, The Northern Mariana Islands, and the US Virgin Islands. Imperialism also gives a boost to the economy, not just for the United States who uses the resources for trade, but for the territory itself. The United States brings technology, industries, government policies, and privileges American citizens possess to these territories. Also, the US has many military bases around the world, and in return the US aids these territories with protection.

However, there are many cons that follow American imperialism. American imperialism kills the tradition of the indigenous peoples, who lose their identity and tradition. In many cases, the territories’ own people grow to discriminate against what is local and originally of their own native culture.

Additionally, it can be argued that the possession of territories is not necessary and perhaps even counterintuitive, as the US spends so much money on bases scattered around the world and helping the economy of those islands. They are expensive to keep, and the US is already quite expansive.

American people talk so much about freedom and have fought a war over it, but the American territories don’t even have full freedom. The United States controls the islands and they cannot act on their own. The people there are expected to follow American culture or risk discrimination on social and economic playing fields.

How do you feel about American Imperialism?

Imagine that you’re a Native American judge serving on a court in Indian Territory. A person suspected of committing a crime in the United States has fled to the territory. Would you hear the case? Would you order the accused to be sent back to the United States? Or would you ignore the case entirely? Explain and defend your answer in 50–100 words.

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

Answer:

If I were a judge in Indian Territory, I would order the accused to be sent to Fort Smith for trial. Tribal courts have no real jurisdiction over people from the United States who have committed crimes. If the accused isn’t a tribal citizen, I can’t hear the case. But I also can’t simply ignore the case. To do so might endanger other people or the community. At Fort Smith, the person who committed the crime will face a fair trial and, if found guilty, a fair punishment.

Explanation:

I cant explain but i got it wrong and it showed me the right answers yknow

By setting up the Council of Trent,  by founding new religious orders and  by regulating the training of priests did the Catholic Church respond to corruption and criticisms. Hence, option A, C and E are correct.

What were the criticisms of the Catholic Church?

The Catholic Church has also been under fire for its doctrine opposing the ordination of women to the clergy, as well as for claims of financial fraud and corruption, as well as for how it handles cases of sexual abuse.

In response to the Protestant challenge, the Roman Catholic Church rid itself of the abuses and ambiguities that had fostered rebellion before starting, with varying degrees of success, to recapture the schismatic branches of Western Christianity.

Luther had created a pattern of scholarship and consideration, and this was reflected in the Roman Church's initial response to his theses. Rome sent prominent clerics and theologians to debate Luther in disputations and give him the chance to change his mind or appease the church.

Thus, option A, C and E are correct.

Explanation:

did women in shakespeare england have the sane rughts as wimen in other parts of the world.

Answers

Answer:

Women

In Elizabethan times women belonged to their fathers (or their brothers if their father died), and then to their husbands. Women could not own property of their own. This is one of the reasons Queen Elizabeth never married – she did not want to give up her power to a man.

The only exceptions were widows – women whose husbands had died. A widow was in charge of her own life and property, but would be likely to marry again to find someone to protect her and to be the legal guardian to her children.

Women were allowed to marry from the age of 12 in Shakespeare’s time, but often only women from wealthy families would marry so young. In the play Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is 13, but her mother says by that age she was already married with a child. Many marriages were arranged for the good of the family and small children might be ‘betrothed’ to each other in order to join the families together before they were old enough to get married. Many women did not marry until their mid-20s. Men had to be able to support a household when they married.

Women were not allowed on the stage. All the female parts in plays at the time were played by boys whose voices hadn’t broken yet – the apprentices. In several of the plays the female characters disguise themselves as men – so the audience would have seen a man pretending to be a woman pretending to be a man. This happens in Twelfth Night, As You Like It and The Merchant of Venice.

Gordon Childe proposed that this suite of changes be called the Neolithic Revolution. Archaeologists first used the term Neolithic (or New Stone Age) to describe distinctive polished stone tools that appear from about 10,000 years ago. But Childe insisted that the real significance of this period lay in something more revolutionary: the emergence of agriculture. Agriculture laid the foundations for all the most important developments of later human history. Today, many prehistorians resist Childes term because they know that when examined closely, the changes turn out to have been gradual. Contemporaries could hardly have known they were living through a revolution. Nevertheless, Childes notion of a Neolithic or agrarian revolution deserves to survive, for on the scale of human history as a whole, the changes were both rapid and revolutionary. During a mere 7,500 years, between 11,500 and 4,000 years ago, agricultural communities with domesticated plants and animals appeared in at least three quite separate regions of the world, and perhaps as many as seven.Excerpt From: David Christian, Maps of Time: An Introduction to Big History (2011), 489.Which of the following arguments regarding the relationship between polished stone tools and the emergence of agriculture is most defensible?Choose 1 answer:A: The emergence of agriculture caused the emergence of polished stone toolsB: The emergence of polished stone tools caused the emergence of agriculture(Choice C)The emergence of polished stone tools was unrelated to the emergence of agriculture(Choice D)The emergence of polished stone tools and agriculture were probably related, but whether one caused the other is unclearPLZ HELP PLZ HELP Food can occasionally become contaminated from the food handler or from other food during normal storage or preparation of food.
