Otra consecuencia nefasta fue la existencia de resabios de estas agrupaciones que terminaron degenerándose en guerrillas y paramilitares en las décadas siguientes, agravando la situación humanitaria asociada al desplazamiento con la ayuda de la narcoeconomía y el terrorismo internacional.
