The end of the war, the soviet union dispersed. Ukraine became its own country. Russia was not very happy. They agreed that countries would gain their independence. Still, it was also relayed that these countries would not be allowed to join NATO because NATO was made to Defend against Russia and protect nations from being taken over by the Soviet Union. But many of the disbanded countries joined NATO for sanctions from Russia. Ukraine was one of the last countries to attempt to join NATO; they have been waiting since two-thousand and Eight and have not been let in yet, but in recent months, they have been very close to getting approval to join NATO. Russia Knew this, and since Ukraine was close to being approved, it meant that Russia would either need to attack now or never; if Russia attacked once Ukraine got into NATO, they could then be attacked by the rest of the countries in NATO. War is not fair to the people of Ukraine, and the impact that the war has had on Ukraine has been devastating to Ukraine, and with NATO’s inability to become involved. After all the carnage that has occurred Ukraine will become Admitted to NATO, economic trade and functionality in Ukraine will astronomically decrease From The war.
